Where Tranquility and Nature Blend Seamlessly
Welcome to Kin Resort, an oasis of serenity and tranquility located in the beautiful Placencia Peninsula of Belize. We are an eco-sustainable resort committed to providing our guests with a unique and memorable experience, while respecting the surrounding environment.
Founded by an Italian family the resort stands as a testament to their years of hard work and dedication.
With a philosophy rooted in eco-sustainability, Kin Resort utilizes recycled materials, reclaimed wood, and local stones to create a warm and serene atmosphere. Every element of the resort has been personally designed and curated, reflecting their passion.
K'in Resort offers moments of relaxation, meditation, and unforgettable experiences. The hotel's concept seamlessly integrates with nature, culture, and mindfulness. Every service and detail within the hotel is thoughtfully designed to provide comfort within a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Construction of the resort began in 2016 after acquiring the raw land in 2014. During construction, we made a conscious effort to preserve as many trees as possible. Only a few trees were cut down, and we designed the hotel around the positions of the existing trees rather than adhering strictly to a predetermined plan. This approach allowed us to build while respecting the natural environment.
THE RESORT
The core concept of Kin Resort revolves around nature and promoting guests' psychological well-being. A beautiful tropical garden graces the premises, where guests can explore and learn about tropical plants, complete with botanical descriptions.
The accommodations are thoughtfully nestled within a lush tropical garden, where nature's beauty harmonizes with the resort's charm. Among the ancient trees and swaying palms, a stunning 140-square-meter beach pool takes center stage. Crafted with eco-sustainable chukum tree resin, it's a magnificent centerpiece that invites relaxation and tranquility.
The resort's architecture incorporates wooden elements and white walls adorned with Belizean ornaments. The warmth and beauty of the reclaimed wood can be seen and felt in every corner of the hotel, from the doors to the furniture and decor items.
Local stones and artisan craftsmanship have also been utilized to create an atmosphere that is warm, fresh, informal, and serene at the resort. Every element of the resort, including lamps, chandeliers, furnishings, and windows, has been personally designed and curated by the owners.
All rooms are tastefully furnished in a Belizean style, to ensure a pleasant stay, the room is equipped with a 32-inch flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a dining table with 2 chairs, a wardrobe, and free Wi-Fi.
Additionally, two reclining chairs are placed outside each room, providing a comfortable spot to relax in the sun and soak in the tranquility of the tropical garden.
THE FAUNA
A pathway made of local river stones leads to various amenities scattered throughout the 2-acre property. As you stroll through the property, you might encounter the local wildlife, including Agouti, Black Spiny Iguana, Green Iguana, and Brown Basilisk. Occasionally, coatimundi, gray foxes, and hawks pay us a visit. In the early morning by the pond, you may even spot vultures. Additionally, Kin resort is home to a considerable variety of local birds that can be spotted and photographed every day.
What's unique is that the green and the black iguanas, the true proprietors of our resort, have been residing here since before 2014 when the land was raw. Some of them are recognizable and even have names. We consider them our wild pets and cherish their presence on our property.
THE FUTURE
Looking to the future there are plans for expansion, including the addition of new rooms, an Italian restaurant, and a gym.
These enhancements represent our commitment to providing even better services to our valued guests. Our goal is to comprehensively meet and exceed their needs, ensuring a more fulfilling and memorable stay at Kin Resort.
